The Positive Role for Volunteering

Within the framework of its interest in supporting societal peace and developing communication mechanisms with the target groups, Maat for Peace, Development, and Human Rights organized a community meeting by volunteer efforts on Wednesday, 24th of April 2013 at Manshyat Helwan Club, this comes in the framework of the community meetings implemented by Maat for Peace, Development, and Human Rights to support the project; Integrated Protection for the Families of Prisoners and Detainees – Integration and Rehabilitation in the project target areas including: Ma'sra, Basateen, Khalifa, Imbaba, Boulaq El Dakrour, and Atfeeh center.
Through those community meetings, Maat seek to connect with the target groups via the participation of volunteered youth from interactive theater to perform creative performances aiming at increasing awareness and interacting with prisoners and detainees families, the meeting addressed both domestic violence and art prohibition.
The audience shared their views post the performance ending, along with putting forward different views on the issues in order to reach solutions, the meeting also reflected interaction and involvement by the participants.
It's worth mentioning that those meetings seek to;
· Raise citizens awareness on their own issues,
· Support their positive involvement and effective dialogue,
· And increase social communication skills via interaction and consolidation of positive views.
The community meetings are complementary and supportive of the Counseling Unit as one of the project services that target providing social, psychological, and legal support for those families.

دور ايجابي للتطوع

في إطار سعي مؤسسة ماعت للسلام والتنمية وحقوق الإنسان لدعم قضايا السلام المجتمعي وتطوير آليات التواصل مع الفئات المستهدفة ، نظمت ماعت وبجهود تطوعية لقاء مجتمعي يوم الأربعاء الموافق 24/4/2013 بنادي منشية حلوان ، ويأتي ذلك في إطار سلسلة من اللقاءات التي تنفذها مؤسسة ماعت لدعم مشروع الحماية المتكاملة لأسر السجناء والمحتجزين في المناطق المستهدفة من المشروع ( المعصرة ، البساتين ، الخليفة ، إمبابة ، بولاق الدكرور ، مركز أطفيح ) وتسعى ماعت من خلال هذه اللقاءات إلي التواصل مع الفئات المستهدفة وذلك بمشاركة شباب متطوعين من المسرح التفاعلي لعرضها بصور غير نمطية تسهم في زيادة رفع الوعي و تفاعل أسر السجناء والمحتجزين و قد تناول اللقاء عرض قضيتي (العنف الأسرى ، تجريم الفن ) .
وقد شارك الحاضرين بآرائهم بعد انتهاء العرض وطرح وجهاه النظر المختلفة حول المشاكل بهدف التوصل إلى حلول وقد اظهر اللقاء التفاعل والمشاركة.
ومن الجدير بالذكر أن هذه اللقاءات تهدف إلي :-
- رفع وعى المواطنين وزيادة الوعي بمشكلاتهم .
- دعم مشاركتهم الايجابية والحوار الفاعل .
- تنمية مهارات التواصل الاجتماعي بين المشاركين من خلال التفاعل و دعم وجهة نظر ايجابية .
والجدير بالذكر أن هذه اللقاءات مكملة وداعمه لوحدة المشورة وهى أحد الخدمات التي يقدمها المشروع من الدعم الاجتماعي والنفسي والقانوني لهذه الاسر .
